Need help setting up your music-on-hold?
Follow these steps to quickly install your new music-on-hold tunes:
- Download the music-on-hold tune that you prefer (http://www.talkswitch.co.uk./musiconhold/) and save it on your computer.
- Open your TalkSwitch configuration software and expand System Information > On-Hold/Ringback.
- In the On-Hold Settings area, select Play music from file loaded on TalkSwitch and click the Load wav file button. A window will appear asking you to confirm that you are uploading a .wav file. Click Yes to continue.

A new window called Load Audio File will appear.
Browse and select the music-on-hold .wav file that you want to
upload, and click Open.
Please note: The TalkSwitch music-on-hold tunes are
specifically formatted to work with your TalkSwitch phone system. If you have
downloaded a music file from another location than the TalkSwitch website,
you must ensure that the file is saved in the following format: 8 kHz, 8 bit,
Mono, u-Law .wav file. You can convert .mp3 and other file formats to .wav with
a tool like the Audio Converter and Ripper from
www.audioi.com.
- In the Transfer Settings area, select the sound to play while the caller is being transferred. You can select Music, or Ringback.
- In the menu commands, choose File > Save to TalkSwitch.
- Congratulations, your new tunes are uploaded! Now you can test the volume by placing a test call and going on hold.
- If you wish to adjust the volume, go to the Playback volume for music file list in the On-Hold Settings area. Select the appropriate volume using the drop down arrow.
- In order for your volume changes to take effect, you must once again choose File > Save to TalkSwitch.
